Welcome to The MSHSSCA!
The MSHSSCA is made up of High School soccer coaches and their assistants who are members of the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association. This Association represents the interests of High School coaches of all sports in the State of Minnesota.
As the Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association, we work to promote and improve the sport of High School soccer. We accomplish this in many ways: by sponsoring the selection of Mr. and Ms. Soccer, the All-State team and the State Tournament banquet. We also select the State Tournament All-Tournament team, and the Academic Team Champions. In addition, we organize and host the Senior Classic and our annual pre-season coaches’ clinic. We also recognize our members by selecting the Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year for the State of Minnesota, and in each section for both class A and AA. We also recognize those coaches who have contributed to high school soccer in the long term by selecting them to the Hall of Fame, and recognize those who have shown distinguished service to High School Soccer, and also recognize outstanding Soccer Alumni.
Our Association also is high school soccer’s voice in working with the Minnesota State High School League. We have collaborated with the MSHSL to improve the State Tournament, and looked at issues in soccer such as officiating and also helping to implement rules changes in soccer. In addition, we are involved with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America to help highlight soccer in the State by selecting All-American players, and National Coaches of the Year, and working to get Minnesota soccer teams on the national radar by getting them ranked nationally.
